The House Made Available the Affordable Health Care for America Act, the manager's amendment, and the Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act of 2009

Washington, DC - Over the last eleven months, both the House and the Senate drafted comprehensive health care reform bills.  In the House, the Committees on Energy and Commerce, Education and Labor, and Ways and Means each had jurisdiction over the issue and drafted versions of the bill.  In the Senate, the Committee on Finance and the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions drafted versions of the bill.  At this juncture, both the House and Senate leadership are working to create a health care reform measure that will ensure that all Americans will receive health care that is more accessible, accountable, affordable and reliable.   Congresswoman Sutton is committed to ensuring that the final health reform bill reflects those multiple goals.  In the House,  the three committee versions of the bill have been merged  into one final House bill and is entitled H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act.  It is available and can be viewed by clicking the links below:
